Based in the Tweed Valley, we have ready access to the best natural riding in Scotland, with the trail centres of Innerleithen, Glentress, Newcastleton and Ae right on our doorstep.
Spares and repairs are what we do best, but we also tell jokes and drink coffee.
2011 Mini DH Series
31st July, 28th August & 30th October
It’s that time of year again, when the future stars of UK downhill get the chance to develop their biking skills on the world famous trails of Innerleithen.
The first downhill races in the UK exclusively for younger riders, the 3 race series is organised by Innerleithen MTB Racing, the team who brought the first iXS European Cup to Britain in 2010. Tracks are challenging but fun. The young riders have the tracks to themselves and can do as many runs as they want, every run’s a good ‘un. The aim of the series is to introduce young riders to the sport in a relaxed and enjoyable way, in a safe environment.
The day kicks off at 09.30 for registration, there is practice for an hour from 11.00, race runs are from 12.00 – 16.00 with podiums at 16.45. The day is relaxed with plenty of time to stop for lunch from the catering van and as many runs as you can fit in !
It’s super cheap with entries at £12/£15, day entries will be available. Riders must have a well serviced bike, full face helmet, full finger gloves and long sleeves, and a parent or guardian to register them. Further protective equipment is recommended.
Boys and Girls aged 10 - 18 are welcome to enter and will be split into various categories.
All races take place at Traquair Forest in Innerleithen, further info below or email helen@innerleithenmtbracing.com or call Steve at iCycles on 01896 833848.
